Kehsi Iman Wilson joins Groundswell Action Fund as an Operations Specialist. She has over 15 years of professional experience spanning several industries, including education, fashion, beauty, and tech. The tie that binds all of her experiences is a love for strategy development, process improvement, people (HR), and social justice.

A self-described “Equity Evangelist”, she has been doing anti-racism and DEI work professionally for 15 years, starting with a focus on “at-risk”, underrepresented minorities, international, LGBTQ, and disabled student populations in the non-profit and education sectors then expanding to a focus on curricula development, business process, operations and strategy, and HR.

One of the highlights of this work was starting the Office of Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence (now Student Center for Social Justice and Identity) at Vanderbilt University where she built an office and a team that became the central training hub on campus for issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. After leaving Vanderbilt in 2015, she focused on startups/scaleups, serving as the COO for a company that built continuing education opportunities for beauty industry educators.

She currently serves in a sweat equity capacity as the Director of Communications and Strategy at STRUT Learning, a social impact company that builds technology to promote emotional intelligence among schoolchildren.

She runs her own consulting firm, High Quality Talent LLC, focused on helping organizations define and align their values with their strategy and to infuse accountability, equity, and psychological safety into every aspect of their operations. Her passion is helping move progress toward anti-racism and social justice forward, and she has a “happy hustle” focusing on environmental justice as a clean beauty educator for Beautycounter.

She has a BS in Journalism from the University of Florida, an M.Ed., in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida, and is a certified professional of human resources (PHR).
